INGREDIENTS
16 ounces sirloin or ribeye, cut into 1-2 inch cubes
1/2 cup flour
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
1 large onion, diced
8 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup white wine (or water)
2 cups beef broth
1/4 cup cornstarch
3 tablespoons Hixon’s Fixin’s Grill Seasoning
Seasoned rice or mashed potatoes, for serving

INSTRUCTIONS
Mix the grill seasoning with the flour, then use a mixing bowl to dredge the steak pieces in the mixture. Heat the oil in a skillet on medium-high heat, then sear the meat 3-4 minutes, until browned. Remove and set aside.
Add the mushrooms, onions, and butter, and cook until onions and mushrooms begin to brown.
Deglaze the skillet with the wine, making sure to loosen any browned bits, and let it cook for 1-2 minutes.
Add the beef broth and bring to a boil, then return the reserved meat and vegetables back to the pan and reduce heat to low. Simmer, covered, for about 1 hour, or until the meat is tender.
Mix the cornstarch with a small amount of cold water and whisk it into the simmering broth. When the sauce is thickened, serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
