HIXON’S FIXIN’S JALAPENO POPPER DIP RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
12 oz diced jalapeños, fresh or pickled
1 package bacon
2 tsp minced garlic
2 packs cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp Hixon’s Fixin’s BBQ Rub

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 and cook an entire package of bacon on a baking sheet until almost done cooking, then chop and set aside.
While cooking bacon, combine following ingredients in large mixing bowl: cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, bbq seasoning, and garlic. Mix together until smooth.
Add the cheese, chopped bacon (reserve some for topping), and diced jalapeños (reserve some for topping), and stir briefly, until throughly mixed.
Transfer the mix to an oven safe baking dish or a cast iron skillet and spread evenly.
Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes, or until hot all the way through.
Top the dish with the reserved bacon, jalapeños, more shredded cheese, and dust with a pinch of bbq seasoning, then bake for additional 5 minutes, until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
